Greyhounds: Zoey's Story
We adopted a retired racer from Greyhound Welfare in Takoma Park, MD. I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking about adopting a greyhound in the DC Metro area, all of their dogs are in foster homes so they know a good deal about them before they are placed.
So Nemo has a "little" sister named Zoey. Her racing name was Wind Vexed, which didn't suit her adorable and sweet personality. We call her "helicopter butt" because her tail never stops wagging, she absolutely loves everyone. Zoey loves to lay in the sun every morning and at least once a day she does 40 mph figure eights in our tiny back yard.
